After cruising around the Bavarian Alps for a day or two and the Dingolfing tour, I head up north to my native Denmark for a couple of weeks. The idea is that the car will be fully broken in when I head back down to Munich via the autobahn for the drop-off.

You make it sound like my car will be delivered with the European nav DVD. I would have to pay extra for that, right? I have made arrangements to rent one (EU version) here in the states before my trip. Thanks for the reminders on triangle etc etc.
Your car will NOT be delivered with Euro NAV DVD. Trust me, I found out the hard way. I had to fork over ~250 Euros? (I don't remember the exact price) from the parts department of the nearest BMW dealership. It would seem that you are well prepared by bringing along a Euro NAV DVD.

The drive on the Angelus Crest Hwy takes less than twenty minutes to get to Mt. Wilson, unless we stop for a photo first. Then another 5 - 10 minutes to the restaurant. It's not that long of a drive. The drive back, down to La Canada is 30 minutes or less...unless we get stuck in a jam like the last time...a motorcycle wreck, with a helicopter pick-up. We ended up in a long line of waiting cars for about 45 minutes! The drive not that long.

From the 210 to Angelus Crest either one minute or not at all if we go directly on to the highway from Foothill somewhere...very close!
20 mins??? I could have sworn it was a lot longer than 20 mins last time. We gotta make it a bit longer than 20 mins...

If we drove straight through from the bottom to the restaurant...it would be only a 20 minute drive...but we'll be stopping on the way up...and at Mt Wilson...so it will take longer...but to come down the hill...twenty at the most!

Go for it...I was also hoping some E61 Touring cars would show up as well! I've invited some friends with 3-series to show up if they want, (though I don't know if they will)...the more the merrier!
