Am I reading this correctly? $20 a race?

How many times do you get?

No idea. I hope heezy545i can answer this question. Irwindale is not too far from where he's at.

I just went through 23 pages! to look for the owner of the white e60 with black rims. Anyone know who he is? He was with the group that went up to Mt. Wilson.

Great pictures man! Thanks for coming. We're going to try to set up another Socal Meet in September. Hope to see you there. Have not yet decided on a place.

Its kinda wack you guys 1/8 mile drag not 1/4 mile. I've been there b4 with my other cars. Go to Fontana 1/4 mile drag strip its the closest drag strip in L.A. Palmdale's elevation is to high so your car will run like a Yugo.

I've never been to the dragstrip, but from what I've been told, the $20 is a single payment and will yield you about 5 runs or so. Getting there earlier will give you the chance to get in more runs, but it also depends on the event and amount people. Irwindale has open track days on thursday, and may require a helmet, but not sure. The track is local and has good conditions, but like mentioned it's only an 1/8 mile.

LACR in palmdale has open track days on wed and fri. I believe it's $15 to race and I've heard of people getting anywhere from 6-10 runs depending on the amount of people and what time they show up. Fontana is only sporadically open, so this is pretty much the only 1/4 mile track in socal. It's cheap and you get a lot of runs, but the track conditions are poor. The track itself is not very well maintained coupled with the high elevation and high temps should yield poor numbers. As an example, stock e46 m3s usually get low 14s and trap in the high 90s or low 100s. They have a conversion table to account for elevation on their website.

I was about to go to lacr last week or so and started a thread of how to launch the car. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?show...7669&hl=launch Never did make it out however. Here's the lacr website http://lacr.net/

I know a lot of people on here don't condone street racing, but a highway run from 2nd gear will remove much of the driver error and tell you which car is the fastest. Racing from a stop is more about the driver than the car. Although, if you guys have SMG or step, I guess it's somewhat of a moot point.

I think you can smoke a few of em eric. I remember a post from Znod a while back listing the is350 at 5.1 seconds from Car and Driver.
The is350 is a quick car, but I believe those C&D times were an anomaly and not duplicated by the other mags.
