Got any plans for the S85 V10 engine? ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Don't we all need 600hp+ street cars to go get groceries?![Think](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/think.gif)

I do have the mapping capability for your car, I have to double check the check sum values and download the data from your computer.
I do all of this in-house, so I don't ship ecu's anywhere.
Where is the other restaurant (cch)?
Good food, I'm there.

Yeah Cajun Crab House. It's been own by 3 different friends of mine and is now currently called The Line Shack and their specialty is Texas-style bbq but they still serve the cajun boils. It's on Winchester Blvd south of the Santana Row strip in San Jose.
So what kind of gains can you get from the S85 V10 with your software and has it been dyno proven? Next time I make a trip out to Pleasanton, I'll try to scoot down to Livermore to check out your shop.

I'll definitely check out the CCH.
I might go back to the Boiling Crab tomorrow night with my brother-inlaws.
I have my own dyno, again, I haven't worked on an M5.
We've even cracked the code for the new M3, but until we're done with the 35i series, I can't put time into anything else.

What kind of dyno do you have and what size fan and how are they set up? I'm looking for a place that has a large enough fan that would come close to replicating real world wind conditions at freeway speeds. There's a place in my area called Dyno Spot Racing that has a Dynojet but they only have one small snail shaped fan that only directs air to the lower grill so it won't provide the airflow to the RPI intake scoops I have mounted behind the kidney grills.

We have a dynojet. I know Dick at dynospot, cool guy.
Our fans are approximately 3000cfm each. With 3 of them, that's about 9000cfm.
Trying to duplicate acutally freeway air speed and volume is even beyond us.
The best you could do is have someone literally aim one of the fams at the scoop, then remove the fan and try it again.
We did this for a g37 the other day and there was approximately an 18hp difference.

I'm sure that set up is still better than what DSR has. So did the G37 have RPI scoops too or was it something similar?

I've been building cars for a really long time.
Last year, we were on Speed Vision with Tanner Faust.
The G37 was in for a custom intake designed for mass-production, so the only way to test it was to flow some air through the oem scoops.

Oh shoot, that's why TurboHoses rings a bell. I saw the same episode. There's a member on here NobleForums (Gabe) from Race Precision in SoCal that also has a Noble and his shop tunes Nobles too. I remember the thread where both ro11dice and I were asking if he was familiar with your shop. Small world.
