There were only two of us, and we are members of this forum, one from Auckland (Leong) and one from Wellington (530_nz) - hence the mini meet.
Not really planned, as Leong managed to get a few hours free after arriving in Wellington on New Years day. So we got together at the Loaded Hog first. After a drink moved on to the New Zealand Parliamentary ground for some uniquely NZ photo opportunities.
The 2004 Titanium Silver 530D has had some modifications done to it (lowered-30mm, authentic 166(?) alloys, M-tech, M-style steering wheel, LCI tail-lights, straight exhaust tips).
The 2003 Amethyst Grey 530i is the standard E60 fare, apart from the shadowline style trim.
Location of the photo-shoot:
Now the pictures, not a lot but at least we've got some :-)

Hey D,
Good to meet you. Amazing how time flies when talking cars - sorry I had to run off when we realized what time it was!! It was a good end to our South Island Road trip - 3722km over 13 days at an average 7.0 l/100km. That's only $278 in diesel
I'm curious to know if there are any other NZ E60 forum members here, perhaps for our next meet. I think Whakapapa may be a good location, being quite central (in the North Island at least)?

That's okay. My wife started calling me about 10 mins after we left.
When I arrived home a neighbour of mine was waiting outside my house wanting to borrow:
a. jumper cables - which I don't have
b. the E60 to help jump his car - which he no longer wanted once I said that I need to read the manual first before connecting those cables to my car.
It was an exciting afternoon, I can tell that.
On July, we should find a big, flat, snow covered field on July, and do what Anzafin (and other people) did. After turning the traction control off, obviously! As far as I know we're kind of the active members from NZ in this forum.
