Ahh, I've seen them on the website posted by Eggz. Look very nice, but maybe too many spokes. You know the problems we face when washing our rims. The 124, I feel, are okay since there are only 7 spokes to maintain.

Woooooowwwww , Edlee! Your 545 will be the talk of all E60 owners . It will be the yardstick, the de-facto standard for all to drool over!!! It's definitely going to be cool, real cool I mean.

IMHO, the 545 should be equipped fully - besides the usual, pro nav, phone, tv & text, hud (if ida so permits), adaptive xenons, acc, premium leather, etc...

We would really look forward to your joining us in our meetups and your ride will inadvertently be our centre of attraction .

Guys who were at our meetup at Labrador Park, remember I was telling you about my experience with BMWs since 1979, particularly about fuel leakage in the supply line and the problem about the clips, well I was shocked after reading this thread :'( !

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...indpost&p=27385

It happened on the E60s too . And on 545is!

I am wondering if there is any way we can check if that missing clip is also in ours?

No worry brothers, the recall mentioned only 8-cylinder engines are affected.

Edlee, there is a new 5-spoke rims for E60s, the pics can be found in the E60 Accessories Brochures. They are 19", very clean and looks good on the new 5. Easy to wach definitely. I will post the pics here if I can find.

Guys, I have just registered. Will also register at the BMW-SG website soon.

Unfortunately its too late to change the specs of my car now. Nevertheless will speak with the sales person tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed. 19 inch wheels sound really cool, but really need to see the design first.

Clarified with Jasmine with whom I placed the order. She is 100% sure there is another 545I ordered that should arrive at our shores 28 Aug 2004. This other car might take a while to get registered as it has to be brought to LTA for the relevant testing first. This should clear the path for me once mine arrives, probably sometime late November.

Like I mentioned before; will ctc you guys once my ride arrives and we can all meet up. BTW my reg'n number will be SCQ 27 Z (retention number).

Good question. Drove the E39 from Aug 2001 till Oct 2002, E65 from Oct 2002 to Apr 2003 and E66 from Apr 2003 till June 2004. I've also got an E46 - 320 which I bought as a 2nd car in Apr 2004. My first 3 Bimmers were bought thru TTS. Not very happy with their attitude; met Jasmine at PML showroom and never looked back since; very nice salesperson.

I actually special orderer the E60 530 in black, with DD, green strip, Logic 7, etc when it was first introdiced, but later rescinded the order when I heard that the engine would soon be replaced. Understand the car actually made its way into SIN and got sold. Anyone here knows someone driving it? Most obvious mark will be the green strip on the windscreen.

E66 aka 760iL? man! ain't that a monster too? Do you like it?
I can see e60 M5 on your short list. Rumours has it the new M5 spec is understated, it will be a much faster car and likely to go against the merc E55 and so on. It's a plot!

No, the E66 is the LI version of the 7 series. What I had was the 735LI. Never thought of it as a very powerful car, grumbled alot when I had it, but now when its sold, I really miss the comfort and power. The E46 I'm driving right now is nowhere near.

I have driven the 745I though. I had the chance to try it as a loan car when mine was sent to PML. The power is just great. It was then that I decided that the 735LI was not that great a car.

760? No chance. Can't afford one.
