So I'm suggesting an August 15th or 16th for a nice photo shoot meet out on Floyd Bennet field. We should get there about 5-6pm and catch the sunset light for best pics.

I'm not sure if you can BBQ at floyd bennet, but I'm pretty sure we can cook a few tires and take quality pics of that

I have a tripod and a DSLR (as, I'm sure, many others here), so how about we wax the sh!t outta all our rides and do a proper photo shoot?

Who's in?

A 5-6 pm start time is too late for me and Victor but don't let us hold you back.

I know that Calton was thinking of organizing an August meet but I have not yet seen a thread from him with plans for a August meet.

The reason I put 5-6pm is because the best lighting for pictures is at dusk and right before it.

Calton is probably too busy these days - he forgot about us but hey, if he comes through with a meet, you know I'm there

if you guys do a meet in the fall, i should come home and show up for it. i would rent a viper or some crap for the day. i wonder what the rules are with those. I would be staying in huntington. I wonder if there would be some rule about not taking the car out of suffolk county or something like that.

My favorite fast car to rent that you can do with what you want is a Corvette ZHZ (436 bhp) from Hertz. I've rented it a bunch of times and loved it. Member 1600 (Lee) just rented one during his trip out west and loved it as well.

In terms of meets,Vlad is going to set up a meet for September and I am doing one for October. Both meets wil involve a lot of driving.

If you come when there is no formal meet, I'd be happy to set up a meet and greet for you with any interested NYC area members.
