EUROPEAN MEET -- SAT. 18th OCT. 2008-e60net_meet_v.jpg

Time to get the next European Meet set-up and some of the usual suspects have already put their names down!

Date:
Saturday 18th October 2008 **New date, changed on 31st July 2008**

Meeting point:
BMW Hammer K?ln-West
(Same as last meet -- time to check out those Alpinas, M cars and Bentleys again... )

Proposed route & venue:
K?ln -> Autobahn run -> Michael Schumacher Carting Centre & Food/Drinks (nearby) -> Autobahn run & winding country road drive to Slenaken, north of Maastricht for drinks & group photoshoot! Some of us will also be staying over in Maastricht (hotels) for a night out in the city...

Timing of Meet
:
To be confirmed
Meet around 10/11am in K?ln. Finish late afternoon / early evening.

The attendee list:
LATEST LIST OF ATTENDEES: **LASTEST LIST UPDATE: WED. 24th SEPTEMBER**

The date is fixed for now, however the proposed route and venues are as always open to suggestions. I've driven the route and there is a pretty long stretch of derestricted Autobahn on the A4 between K?ln and Aachen/Maastricht. The Michael Schumacher Carting Centre is off of the A4 and offers indoor and outdoor carting. The carting was Doc's idea -- I think it would be something different and a great laugh! The route on to Slenaken is the fantastic winding cross-country route that Andy545 organised for us at the Benelux Meet in Oct 2007, which finishes at a restaurant with a huge car park just waiting for some E60.NET group pics!

For those interested, and there are already about 6 of us, we will organise hotels and do a night out in Maastricht.

Doc also suggested "DSC-OFF" t-shirts for the event -- we could maybe organise a group buy from here and have "E60.NET European Meet" also added to it -- what do you think?

If you're up for it just add your name to the list and post up any suggestions...

Looking forward to another great E60.NET Meet

Cheers,
Pete

Great to hear you'll be joining us guys.

- tonymac
You'll both have a great time. Its obviously the cars that bring us together, but its the good company, laughs and friendships that have kept these meets going

- 320d touring
Seeing as you bought your car there, maybe we could use you as a point of contact into BMW Hammer? When we were there last time, they said they could have organised something for us had they know we were coming. Maybe we could ask for reserved parking / coffee / champaign / caviar / M5 test drive... well reserved parking & coffee would be a good start! Do you have a good contact in Sales / Service who we could approach?

- ATS77
Hey Attila, our very own Mr Hamann! It will be great to finally meet you in person and you're naturally more than welcome with a Hamann E70!! If Hamann is nearby, then I think most of us would be interested in a visit. (I'll just have to remember to hide my credit-card before going in ) Is it near to K?ln? We need to see how it all fits in time wise, otherwise at another meet as you suggested.
