Guys,
I wanted to again, thank the people involved in making this event such a success.
- CoolTones (Tony) worked with one of our sponsors, PROforma to get us the E60.net shirts pretty much at cost. He also came up with the idea of the badges and caps and now most of us have something to remember this meet by.
- SLORider (John) helped provided suggestions for the different venues for lunch, wine tasting, dinner and hotel. John also planned our driving route and went to the trouble of printing copies for everyone as well as including pamphlets for other wineries that may have been of interest to others in the group.
- kmslo530i (Keith) also helped with John in the venue suggestions. Keith also staked out the Courtyard parking lot and gave suggestions on where we could meet up. Too bad the SoCal crew were delayed or we could have gotten some awesome photos in that U-shaped section of the parking lot.
I also wanted to thank our sponsors who helped made the event more enjoyable with all their prize contributions. They all gave services/products without hesitation when I asked without asking for anything in return. I certainly hope and urge everyone to look to these companies for current and future business. I mention that not because they gave us prizes but because I wouldn't have approached them originally if I didn't know they were great vendors proving quality products with wonderful customer service to all their customers.
Here's the list of our sponsors again:
1) SONICMS (WWW.SONICMS.NET): 2 sets of Umnitza Predator Ice Angel Eyes
2) EUROREV (WWW.EUROREV.COM): Hamann replica carbon fiber splitter for M Tech
3) QUAD_M (WWW.MTECHNICPARTS.COM): ///M trunk finisher (not trunk spoiler) painted to match winner's car color
4) JLEVISW (WWW.JLEVISW.COM): $50 Gift Certificate
5) RACE PRECISION INC. (WWW.RACEPRECISION.COM): Two certificates for two dyno sessions; two certificates for two RPI Ram Air Scoops
6) WHEEL POWER (WWW.WHEELPOWER.COM): Free mounting & balancing on a set of wheels (wheels don't have to be purchased from WP); 20% Discount Voucher.
7) ANGELiBRIGHT (WWW.ANGELiBRIGHT.COM): 1 x Angel iBright V3.0 HID White Kit; 10 x $40 Gift Certificates to their online store, good for purchase of any of their products.
8) CAJUN CRAB HOUSE (WWW.CAJUNCRABHOUSE.COM): Dinner for two
9) PROFORMA (WWW.PROFROMA.COM): E60 Polos, badges and sponsor banner
10) BAILEYANA WINERY (WWW.BAILEYANA.COM): Bottle of wine
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, thank you to everyone that made it to the event. I can plan things all day/week/month long but if no one shows, well....it would be crapola. hahaha Like most have said, it was great to see old faces and meet new friends. I hope we get to meet again soon and welcome more people to our car-crazed family.
