Video in Motion coding is badass - rocking music video DVDs while driving. I was told it is only for LCI models though... Maybe someone can chime in?

yes, you need an LCI e60 equipped with the CIC, not CCC.


.IIRC that's 2010 models only, for sure not 2008 models

Yup, actually 2008 has CIC as well, but it's still DVD based. BMW changed it to hard drive based storage in 2009, thus freeing up the front loading DVD for VIM.

interesting, my 2008 had CCC, perhaps it was late model 2008....

an easy way to check is if your e60 plays dvd's while in park tho I guess...

Yah, maybe. I have done mods to a guy's 2008 and he has CIC. That or he somehow got the year wrong, lol.

when I checked the 2008,9,and 10 e60 manuals, seems the 2010 manual is the only one that refers to DVD play..

Maybe it was undocumented? I am pretty sure the 2009 can. I had a guy came by earlier this year to do VIM.
