Yea... our schedule is all over the place. I don't even know if we are gonna leave at 1pm... we might leave at like 3 or just wait and meet up with the caravan.
We have to wait for my girlfriend so she can caravan with us but i dont know when she will be coming. We are leaving from LA tho

what time will we be at show grounds. just got an email about early arrival.

Early Entry on Saturday
Every year people ask how to be assured they will get a good spot or how to ensure they will be judged for the Battle of the Bimmers. This year, you will be able to enter the showgrounds from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM for a premium cost of $40.00 per car. This extra cost is ONLY for early entry. If you arrive prior to 9:00 AM you will be required to either leave the showgrounds and surrounding roadways or pay the $40.00 fee.

I'd pay $40 to get in early. Not sure who else would. Those of us that get in early, we can probably grab a row and park a few cars from each other so the other guys can file in. That'll probably piss off everyone else though. hahaha

Wasn't it $10 in 2006 then $20 last year? Now, $40 to get in early. Bimmerfest is becoming a cash cow for the organizers. I won't be surprised to see the entry fee hit $60 - $100 in the next couple of years.

Only because they know the community is just going to get bigger and bigger and people will want to get in earlier and earlier.........

I'd pay an extra $20 to get into the show early.

And quit being so stingy all of you. You pay $20 to go see the warriors, the Giants, or even to park in the city for dinner. I'll pay an extra $20 for VIP parking at any of those events...

Joe--feel free to park yours outside the entrance, you probably don't want to park your ride back in the weeds with the other Dodges.

Hello Guys and Gals,

Who's interested in going to Bimmerfest this year in beautiful Santa Barbara CA? Over 2000 BMWs and about 6000 enthusiasts show up to this event last year from all over the country and some have come from other parts of the world to participate. Pretty much every make and model of BMWs are there but I would like to organize an E60 gathering at the event and maybe do additional activities before and after the meet if people are interested.

To start, reply if you're interested so I can start compiling a list. You'll also need to register here:
https://eventreg.bimmerfest.com/events.php?...tion&EvId=1

We'll work on logistics as the days progress. I do know there's a huge caravan of BMWs from NorCal that's leaving around 7-8AM Fri morning. Chances are, some of us in NorCal will not go that early but will probably drive down later in the afternoon. The main thing is that we'll try to get to the fairgrounds early so that all E60s can park together.

I know a bunch of you from the recent Central Cali Meet are anxious to do another big event and this is a perfect opportunity to have a reunion and to give other members who missed the last meet a chance to attend this time.

Here's to a great turn out!!

Tony

Okay guys. I've decided on a hotel; the Best Western Pepper Tree Inn: https://www.reservationpage.com/C00178/H00197/index.asp

It's about a mile from the Earl Warren Showgrounds and located right on State Street. If you call direct, the room rate is $179 but I got them to give us the Expedia rate for $144 if you stay both Fri and Sat and $153 if you're only staying one night. Right now they have a lot of rooms with 1 King left but only a few with 2 beds.

If you want a room, call 1-805-687-5511 and ask for Jennifer or just tell whoever that you're there for Bimmerfest and was referred by Tony for the rates mentioned above. A few of us have booked our rooms already and we asked for the 2nd floor to get a balcony. If you want, you can request a room near us and they'll try to accommodate during check in.

MEETING INFO:
Please refer to the map below. We're all meeting at a shopping center at point A (121 South Hope St) at 8:30AM SHARP so that we can drive as a group into the showgrounds and park together. There'll be a huge caravan coming from SoCal (blue line) and they'll all exit at Las Positas Rd right where the showgrounds is noted with the circled X. The SoCal E60.net crew should drive past Las Positas and exit Hope St (red line) where you'll meet with the NorCal guys at the shopping center and then we'll drive back down the side street Calle Real towards the showgrounds. This way, we'll be coming to the gate from the opposite direction and will avoid that main caravan. The pink triangle on the map is the Best Western Pepper Tree Inn where some of us are staying.
