Nowhere in the OP was there any mention of $ donations. Think about this as a BBQ meet with a good cause. If you read the link from e46 I sent, he specifically isn't looking for handouts. Just support. You do know just showing up, could raise his spirit.

Don't worry about it, just spread the word. He is not a scammer/spammer. Steve is on e46 and some other forums with many more posts. I'm sure someone just pointed him in this direction due to the fact that this is another very (usually) caring forum, willing to help anyone in the BMW family.
