My Ride: E60 M5, F85 X5M
Due to popular demand, we are having our 3rd Central Cali Meet in San Luis Obispo on Sat Nov 15th.
We had a pretty good turn out in Mar with about 40 cars and roughly 60 people and hopefully we can double that this time around.
HOTEL INFO:
Like the last meet in SLO, this will be an overnighter and I've worked with the Courtyard in SLO to give us a group rate of $179 for that Sat night (their normal rate is $229). This is for a room with 1 king. Unfortunately they are sold out of rooms with 2 queens. I currently have a block of 15 rooms reserved and we need to get them booked before Oct 31st or we will lose the discounted rate. If all 15 are booked fairly quickly, I can see if we can get more rooms but I understand it's their peak season so they're running low on rooms. UPDATE:
We're past the deadline for the group rate but if anyone still needs a room, please call the hotel at 805-786-4200 and ask for the Sales Manager, Amanda Rodriguez. She might be able to get you in if there's any rooms left as they're expected to sell out that weekend.
HERE'S THE AGENDA:
1. NorCal and SoCal caravans leave early Sat morning to get to SLO by noon. The meet point is French Park on 1040 Fuller St in SLO.
2. Potluck BBQ - This gives everyone a chance to mingle and get to know fellow members as well as check out each other cars.
- a. LOCATION: FRENCH PARK, 1040 Fuller St, San Luis Obispo (http://www.ci.san-luis-obispo.ca.us/...frenchpark.asp)
- b. Menu: Korean BBQ short ribs, chicken, hot links...etc... cold beer and beverages.
- c. Activities:
-- 1. Baketball, sand volleyball, football, tennis....the park has all these recreational amenities
-- 2. There are also plenty of great wineries in the area for those of you who are interested.
3. Dinner: Thai Classic Restaurant @ 8PM (1011 Higuera St, SLO, 805-541-2025)
4. Bar hopping after dinner and/or poker back at the hotel

My Ride: 2007 Titanium Gray 550i, with sport, nav, HUD, Logic7, sat radio, cold weather, rear side airbags, rear seat heaters, and it goes like a bat outta hell!
ummm....if you paid more attention to my CAR...and less attention to the fact that I have daughters in college....you would remember (what with you having seen my car no fewer than 4 times....) that I have a TiGray 550....
And....ummm...gee...a meet in my home town?? I had no idea!! I think I have a place to stay, so count me in!
