AAVAND9,
What about in Nov? Maybe the Ring will still be open or we can meet down near the mosel. The great thing about Europe is that there is always some nice place to meet. Or if you know of enough people, there could be a meet in Belgium. I think there are 3 people from Belgium on the forum, one form Lux and 2 or 3 from the Netherlands.
I'm from Belgium and would certainly attend such a meeting. Maybe we can try to get in Guiness Book of records having to the most E60 in one place!

OK guys, I will post the directions tonight.

I have made a reservation at the "Caf?-Restaurant >>Tannenheim<<" at the "Sandplacken" in "Schmitten (Taunus)" for October 9, NOON.

I will also post a couple pic's of nice curves that are waiting for you up there...

Will do all that after work from home, somewhen later tonight.

It looks like my Salesrep will be there too. He is a real cool guy and I think one of the best BMW salesrep's in Germany! (BTW, he is not coming to sell something, he just wants to meet and have fun - he is allready a member on our board!).

Now I need to make plans for our drive...

Looking forward to meet everybody.

I'd sure like to be there to meet y'all but for one thing I won't have my "baby" by then and even more important that's when my daughter is supposed to have a different kind of baby and I'll be a "grandfather" again. Maybe next year at the spring meet?

Directions to the 2nd E60 meet, October 9th, 2004 at noon:

Cafe - Restaurant
Tannenheim
Sandplacken 1
61389 Schmitten
Telefon 0 60 84 - 22 70

Above pic shows the meeting point straight ahead, turn right at traffic light

Above pic shows the meeting point

Above pic shows the signs on the intersection

Take Autobahn A5 to the Bad Homburger Kreuz (north of Frankfurt).
At the Bad Homburger Kreuz take Autobahn A661 direction: Bad Homburg, Oberursel.
Stay on Autobahn A661 until it becomes a regular road.
You drive through a little tunnel and after that you are in a long left curve.
At the end of the curve take the exit direction: Schmitten, Oberursel-Hohemark, Gr. Feldberg.
You now enter a roundabout that you have to leave at its first exit, direction: Schmitten, Gr. Feldberg.
The street you are now on takes you all the way up to the ?Sandplacken? (8 Km?s) what is basically the next (and first) intersection (with the one and only traffic light). This is where the Restaurant is on the right hand side. At this intersection it says: Feldberg ? left, Schmitten - straight ahead, Naturpark Parking and US Funkstation ? right. You turn right and park in the parking lot. There is only this one house, the ?Tannenheim?.
We meet, have food and drinks and talk, then we can take some pics of our babys and take a closer look at some things in a near by parking lot, that is about 50m away inside the forrest. Usually plenty of space there!
Then we can have a little driving experience, drive on some of those nice curvy mountain roads and we will end up at the Feldberg, where you can have a beautiful view.
BTW, when you enter Schmitten as your destination to your nav and then search for points of interest, ?other points of interests?, you will find the ?Grosser Feldberg?.

If you are coming let me know, I?ll give you my cellphone number, just in case.

But it?s easy to find, since there is only this one traffic light on the road.
