shit this thread took off... damm i have a close friends bday party.. but its toward the evening.. how long is the drive expected to take?? like what time did everyone kinda arrive home?? maybe i can go.. and then just come home shower, throw on a dress and party.. besides my adrenaline will be pumping even though my car will be buggy.. haha.. get back to me on time frames people! i wanna come..
We would love have you at the meet Mel! I know how much you love to drive and this is a meet for drivers.

The drive is in 2 stages. The first stage goes from about 9 am to 1 pm, beginning in Rockaway, New Jersey, going through the Poconos and ending in Milford, Pa at the Dimmick Inn.

The second stage begins in Milford, Pa at about 2:30-3pm and ends in Tuxedo, New York. It ends about 4:30-5:30 pm. I was home in Manhattan at about 630 pm or so.

One of the particants, Joe (king1828) did the first stage and then left from Milford, Pa to return home.

So you can do both stages or come to one stage -- the Poconos stage.

Both are tons of fun. If you have done the Bear Mountain meet before, the last 30-45 minutes of the drive does some of that meet's roads.

If you only have enough time for one stage, go to the first stage. The drive through rural parts of Eastern, Pa is tons of fun, goes through some very sparsely populated (and sparsely patrolled) area and some of the twisties on that stage are really amazing and tough, as witnessed by the fact that a driver as good as Gregg (and he's an outstanding driver) almost lost it on one of the twisties (thankfully, he saved it).

Let me know if you're gonna show and I'll put you on the roster.

Best,

Scott (sdg1871)

Thx, its just too far away yet to be able to confirm...I was supposed to be away for the first 3 weeks of july for summertime break, but work has forced a postponement, so I may be out the end of july thru mid august and may be back in spain (if I'm very very lucky)...otherwise I'll be at the meet, I know that's a great run you mapped out!

I'll stay tuned to the thread and confirm if/when possible.
Terrific. Just keep me posted.

Not at all. E39 M5s are beautiful cars.

At the last Bear Mountain meet, we had a titanium silver 2003 E39 540i Sport. It brought back such great memories for me because I had that exact model and year from 2003-2006.

Should I go ahead and put you on the roster?
