If you had met me before then you would know who I am especially if you were at the meet at my shop.

Size doesn't matter and it never has mattered to me. Size is never the issue it is only about how skilled you are.

Yes Dave you should, without a doubt, with your Dinan software, run 100 octane and you can even go with a more pure mixture. You have an upgraded ignition map with that software. Stock software settings will not get the full benefit of the higher octane if it is not mixed with conventional premium unleaded.

Also I am not sure about the 91 tune that you are alluding too. I believe that is what they use in 91 octane states like CA and is not the universal tune in all BMW's. Interesting though.
So Bruce you saying I should run with straight 100 or higher too?

Be very careful Richard. You don't want to fry your catalytic converter. My suggestion and the suggestion I've read from others is the following on the E60:

100: 1/2 and 1/2 (93 being the other half)
110: 3 Gallons max and the rest 93. I wouldn't go much more than that mix. Destroying your engine wouldn't be such a good thing.

So Bruce you saying I should run with straight 100 or higher too?

What you could run Richard is a little higher concentration of 100 octane mixed with 93. As far as a recommendation, with performance software, the ignition table is set where you will be able to get more performance from a higher mixture but do not go with straight 100 unless we put in a race version of software in which you would need to do some extensive exhaust work like putting high flow metallic cats instead of factory ceramics or 400-500 cell metallics depending on your car.

DO NOT RUN STRAIGHT 100 octane unless you have software set up as a race version and extensive exhaust work and I don't believe anyone on here fits in that category.

And whatever you do, DO NOT fill your entire tank with 110 either. In fact, I wouldn't exceed a few gallons of 110 mixed with 93.
