Actually the dividing line are the rivers, the main thing is historical. In the South Catholics are a majority and Carnaval can be considered as a Roman Catholic "party" to prepare yourself for being sober untill Easter.
But shagging your neighbour? My neighbours wife died couple of years ago
But what's wrong with drinking beer?

Missed it this year - normally in Receife, Brasil. Could only watch about 90 hours this past week end, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on TV
