I have a few Macs myself but only started getting into them since the BSD based OS X.

if i would be a mac and my user would install WinXP on me, i would search the internet and would try to get a really serious virus or trojan horse to kill myself...

I have several boxes of licensed versions of BSDI (BSD/OS) lying around at work. Various revs. Used to actually use it.

Shrug, then it might be as slow as non-Universal Binary apps running on Rosetta...


Seriously, until we get the library of PowerPC software coded for the IntelMacs, running XP and native Windows apps will be the only way to get the true performance out of the new Intel hardware for the vast vast majority of applications.

QUAD Cores ROCK! I never thought one after buying it.... It's one of the best computer upgrades I have done.
