I just bought my wife a 530i used, and it was in pretty good shape , but she has ran it over many speed bumps too fast, and now wehn she was in the grocery store backed into a yellow cement post on the bumper. Any ideas on how to gain control of the car from her and give her back the older car I am driving?

You said that you bought the car for her. That means it is her car. Let her keep it. If she wants to repair it, she can.

you have a really serious problem here buddy. It's kinda hard to take the e60 back because you said you bought it for her in the first place. the only thing you can do is teach her how to drive like you.
I feel for you man.
Best of Luck with the E60 and ur wife..

I'm thinking somewhere local will do just fine, but you know the woman is more powerful than the car? I tend to think all our power comes from our wifes. Maybe I'm thinking with my "brain" and not my brain, but I need a suggesiton that may really work when it comes to telling her that she should trash the older audi and not the newer BMW.

But besides that, I know that the allignment will need to be done frequently, proving to her it's not her fault is different.

HELP

Simple... drive the Audi into the 5er and start from scratch... a Hummer for her and an M5 for you. Sorted!

Don't throw out the wife just yet... It can save you a bundle on BMW options:

- LANE DEPARTING SYSTEM

"Watch it, there's a car on your left/right...(in town)"

- ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

"Watch it, there's a car in front...(100m)", "You're going too fast ! (not standing still)"

- RADIO

"Bla, bla, bla..."

- AIR CON

"Can't breath !! Please open the window..."

- PDC

"Watch it, watch it...(5m left)"

- NAV

"Turn left, it's here, i'm sure of it" "You made a mistake (well, I'm at the wheel)", "Go, take this exit (while doing 140KM and having only 5 secs to do a 90? turn) "

- TELEPHONE

"Bla, bla, bla..."

I think we could name it the NAGGING WIFE SYSTEM (NWS), which, unfortunately, wouldn't be disconnectable...

I love you, my dear wife !!!
