A family member found a great race track here in NJ. I knew they were building it, but was not sure if/when it would be done. Anyway, we went (12 of us) karting this past weekend and had a blast. The karts go up to 60mph!

Karting is always a ton of fun -- even people who race cars use karting to keep sharp, etc.

I'll bet the adrenaline is still pumping through your body just a bit!

Yeah... you're right! I have driven the little put-put go-karts before, but nothing like this. I am hooked!
There was a group that tracked after us that are members of some exotic sports car club. They all pulled up in their Lambos and hopped in the karts. What a blast!

There was some "real" racing going on as well... Mustangs, Porsche, BMW, Mazdas. A lot of serious racing going on.

The really fast shifter carts are said to feel closer to formula 1 than any other form of race car.

Good to hear you had a good time! I'm right around the corner from the new Motorsports Venue but haven't had an opportunity to visit YET! Soon though ... SOON!
