I recieved a speeding ticket for doing 89 in a 65 back in May and decided to go to court to get the fine reduced. The Judge called me up and said "So, you were doing 89 in a 65 zone in "The Ultimate Driving Machine" huh?" I admitted my guilt with a no contest plea and he reduce the fine from $283 to $183 which included the $29 traffic school fee. Not to bad I guess. I was worth going to court for a few hours. I just wanted to let everyone know that even traffic court Judges acknowledge the fact these are the ultimate driving machines.

Sounds to me like judicial prejudice...perhaps you can get him to send you (on the County, of course) to the BMW Performance School in SC. $29 should cover that, eh?...

LOL nice one!

That is a cheap price to pay for going 24 over the limit.

I will try to do the same for my red light (yellow-light) ticket.

I was just in Henderson this weekend and everybody was passing me up on Eastern Ave. Everybody was doing at least 60 mph. There was no posted speed limit though, but I don't think it's 60 mph.

That really is pretty cheap for 24 over the limit. Thank goodness the cop did'nt write me up for what I was really going (91). He wrote me up for 89 cause 91 would have been 26 over the limit and you all know what that means! That cop saved me a wreckless driving citation and a hell of alot more in fines and the dreaded IMPOUND!!!
People drive really fast in Henderson/Las Vegas. I think the speed limit is 45 on Eastern Ave. People around here are either way over the limit or driving 10 mph under the limit.
As for my situation, I got busted on one of those middle of nowhere 2 lane roads with alot of curves, you know, the type of road that all E60 owners live for!! Cop came around a curve going the other direction at the same time. Bad Luck I guess.
And yeah, I ordered a V1 the next day.

And with traffic school you don't get a point on your record, maybe?
