I would just turn on the engine with full heat and wait for 30min so car is warm and the ice will drop off.

Dude, he's RETARDED! Why not use some alcohol to melt the ice or smth?! Screw it, even some hot coffee would help out. Road salt - anything is better than a hammer and a screwdriver to chisel the ice off.

This video did not work for me but in another video I saw, he gets in, the car starts right up. Unfortunately when he hit the defroster the back window shatters.
