I know its not E60 related but I want to save some people the trouble if these $#*$&% call anyone of you.

I know I know... how can anyone be smart enough to own a E60 but dumb enough to fall for this sh!t...

Please be careful if you get a phone call from someone with a thick middle eastern accent telling you that you have been approved for a $8000 grant. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO! I just got a call and they have most / all my information Name Address Phone number and such. They will ask for your bank routing number and bank account number. They sound very convincing and told them to F-off at first but the guy yelled at me back and told me Do I know what I'm blowing off... I'm blowing off Government Grant that I wont have to pay back and transfered me to a "supervisor" who explained it to me and it sounded convincing... Make a long story short I gave them my info and now I need to deal with the bank and close my account and worry about them having my address.

Here's more people who got tricked by the same people... just for you to read.

Any one want to call me stupid save the lecture... I knew what i was up against and I was ready to close my bank account... but i wanted to hear it though and make sure i wasnt REALLY giving up on $8K of Government Grants. AND there really are Govt Grants... I know about them but I also knew you have to apply for them and not by them calling me... but hey how do i know if they changed the rules or not...

On A side note I did get a call from MINI for a survey... That ones for real...

I receive about 30 of those emails per day and never reply, I just forward them to the police.

I don't care. I just forward everything to them, and I am pretty sure they do what they can.
