This is very different. Trying to research it, so far I've found that its from a 70's motorcycle. Anyone seen this before?

I think it has something to do with the Nurburgring.

Interesting, I thought I saw one of these on an M1 once. Not 100% sure though.

As far as I remember this used to be the original Motorsport logo/roundel. As you can see it has the M colors surrounding the roundel. The M1 steering wheel had this roundel in the center (see pic), and if I remember right some other models from the 70's also had this on the side of the car (maybe certain versions of the CS,CSL?).

I bought some stickers with this logo on them from the BMW Museum in Munich about 20 years ago. I have one on my toolcase in my garage and still have a couple of unused ones left (see pics). I think I'll look for more places in my garage to stick them on.

Indeed, this is the BMW Motorsport logo from the 70's up to the early 80's. This was used during the time of the BMW Junior Team and the Procar Series etc. I had a kid's coat from BMW with the logo on it.

Yep. Motorsport. I have a pin with that logo and it says BMW Motorsport underneath.
