I think UEFA breathed a sigh of relief when that late goal went in... I think the last thing they wanted ws a repeat of an all English final.
True.

Even though I'm no Chelski fan, I was instinctively supporting the English club... well, its based in England at least! The ref really wound me up though; I appreciate the strikers have a habit of falling over all too easy, but there were IMHO at least 2 clear penalties that should have been awarded to Chelsea. It was just very wrong, along with the red card for Barca's defender. It just seemed more about the ref, than the players for me and that was frustrating. Other than that, a good game and surprising to see how effective Chelsea help Barca through out the game, especially after Barca hammered Real 6-2 at the weekend.

I'm no ManU fan, but will again be supporting the, erm, "English" team
(I have to wait until next year to see if my team Liverpool can win it again...)

I'm a Liverpool fan too, but unfortunately there is no way I can bring myself to support Man U

The rivalry between the two most succsesful teams in England is just too much... Especially as it looks like they will equal our title record this year

C'mon Barca!!!

Very valid arguement you put forward there. nice that we beat them in league, but that doesn't really help us much now.

Strangely enough, I don't mind Man U that much. Its Arsenal that is my hate team. It all started when Thomas scored against Groblar for Arsenal to beat us in the league (or maybe the FA cup). Funny how these things happen and stick with you.

The Spanish already won the European Cup, so they don't need another one. England on the other hand... well lets not go there

I was so happy when Barca scored although I'm not a big fan of them.

My love Juventus, whom I have loved since childhood aren't doing too good at the moment. They need to get rid of Ranieri and Secco.

Coming back to Chelsea vs. Barcelona, I can't believe the hipocracy Chelsea and Guus Hiddink indulge in. Has Guus Hiddink forgotten Italy vs South Korea in 2002, I mean, how dare he criticize the referee yesterday. Maybe he does have some early onset Alzeimers. How about the fact that Chelsea body slammed Barcelona players in the first leg at the Nou Camp. How about the red card for Abidal.

Enough of my ranting for today. Okay, I think I'm ready for the backlash from you Chelsea fans!!

Another Liverpool fan here - it's actually where I was born, even though I never lived there. Been a diehard fan since I was a small boy!

Before this Premiership season started, I wagered a fair amount of coin on Manchester United winning the title.

Before this UCL started, I wagered a fair amount of coin on Manchester United repeating.

Soon, I am either going to have some extra cash for E60 mods, wife mods, and a trip to Hua Hin, or then feel like a complete idiot for wasting money on the Red Devils.

I did the exact same thing as you, beside I also put money in MU winning the FA cups, Sir Alex broke my heart when I saw the line up against Everton .

We are going to win some extra cash for our car mods. Premier League for sure, UEFA maybe 80% on their current condition. Have faith on it!

I did not have the balls to bet on a treble (again)...

I am solid with the Premiership (knock on wood), and I would gander 90% on the UCL final in Rome. As long as that Norwegian referee is not in charge because it is obvious that his money is on FC Barcelona! Oh wait, he is in hiding now after the game at Stamford Bridge.

Hua Hin! That's one of my favorite vacation destinations in the world. I've never heard anyone else mention it! My wife and I stayed at the Sofitel Centara Grand Resort and Villas, which was the King's old summer palace. It also was used during the filming of the movie "The Killing Fields." Gorgeous property. Everything has a 1940s motif. Love the beach and the town as well. I hope they/you win Patrick!

Sorry, off-topic.
