On my stretch of Rte 2, which I drive every AM, the Stateies run a Laser trap at least once a week, sometimes more. I'll typically run around 70-80 on my way into work, then slow down about 1/2 mile from their "typical" trap.
It makes my morning when someone trying to prove something blows right by me once I slow down and they fall right into their trap.
If only I could get 6% of each ticket!

I hit 140mph at Highway 101 once. Once is enough for me..

My Ride: 2004 545i 6 spd Sports Package | NAV | PDC | Logic 7 | BT retrofit | SW V13.3
The day after picking up my car, we left Munich heading south at 7.am on Saturday morning. Hardly any traffic on a gorgeous summer morning on the autobahn. As luck would have it, the NAV was programmed to take us to Venice via the shortest route. Within 50 miles we were off the autobahn and in the mountains. By the time I figured out what was happening we were in the mountains and had to continue to innsbruck before getting back on the bahn. So my one chance to relax and let her out never came. I needed atleast 100 miles in a new car before letting it out. Over the next 17 days as I learned the limits of my new and first Beemer I drove many hours in excess of 110 mph and several stints up to 130 mph. BUT alas, the Autostrada, the bahn in France and the spanish roads are no German autobahn.
January 1st, driving from San Jose to Los Angeles I breifly hit 145mph before coming up on traffic.
I am considering ED again in 2007 of a 550i with SMG. Will try the limiter again.

Did 157mph with 4 adults plus baggage on German autobahn yesterday. What a car, steady as a rock! Could feel the limiter just starting to click in.
