Most were not funny. But I guess that was an April Fools joke about April fools jokes.

I knew a guy who went to every phone and forwarded it to the manager's phone on one April 1st The manager got every call that morning.

I don't recall if the story below was April 1st but it is the ALL TIME BEST office prank that I've heard and was thought up by the same guy as above. The whole office was moving. The week of the move, a manager was on vacation. "No problem, we'll see to it that your stuff is moved" said his staff.
During construction, they found a pole, and got the construction crew to install the pole dead center in the office, complete with carpeting clearly cut around it, and the pole going up thru the ceiling tile. They moved the manager's desk into the office behind the pole giving about 18 inches of space between it and the back wall.

The manager gets back from vacation, sees his new office and his stuff in it and thanks his staff for moving it. He then spends the WHOLE day moving the desk around the pole, trying to make space for him to sit in the chair behind the desk. He then calls his manager, the facility manager, the construction crew, and everyone he could think of. All were in on the prank. The next morning he moans how unfortunate he was to get the worst office in the building. The staff finally confessed and removed the pole.
