I was late to my AP psychology exam today and got pulled over by a bike cop doing 73 in a 55.
Needless to say a person my age, in a car like ours doesn't get any sympathy so the officer didn't ask me a single question other than to see my license and registration (which was not in my car for some reason= $116).
I went to the circuit court immediately after my exam and paid the fine ($171 not $250 because the officer did have some mercy and gave me disobeying traffic sign)
I have a feeling that my car will be out of commission for at least a month upon the arrival of my father this evening

Good luck with school! We old guys need more young folks earning big bucks to support us in the later years

It does seem (sometimes) that the clapped out Hondas going 18 mph over the limit go rolling by but BMWs are stopped ... but it only seems that way. OK you got a little break ($171 vs $250) ... but I think maybe you stretched the limit for tolerance by a few mph where you were driving. Now if you wrote you were one of 10 cars rolling along at 18 over the limit you might be in a better position. As for picking on you personally (your age??) ... that's a stretch unless your state requires MV Tags for youthful drivers. NJ is trying to start that now and is getting a lot of resistance.

Thankfully my dad was merciful and just told me how upset he is with me which is enough punishment in itself because I hate to upset my father after all the sacrifice she has made for me. Going and paying for the fines and signing up for traffic school probably helped too. Now I don't have any points
