My car just passed the break in period, and has been christened with it's first speeding ticket. I should have known better since it's the end of the month and the LEOs need to make their quotas. 55 in a 40. Dang.

The real kicker: my Escort SRX is getting installed on 12/10, and I was tagged via LIDAR. Would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids.

The price of the ticket isn't that much of a concern... but my insurance is. So, does anyone know if Massachusetts reports violations to New Hampshire?

Ya, I know . . . too well. All the northeast states report to each other from Maine to New Jersey. Trust me, I feel your pain.

btw, over the last eight years, I've installed the SRX in four cars (3 BMWs and 1 Porsche). I know everyone raves about the Valentine, but for my money, the SRX is the best. I did get hit with a number of tickets with my 99 E39 and only one with my 04 E60, but none with the Porsche or current E60 - and I've had plenty of opportunity. Most impressive, it's never let me down with lidar. It's kind of funny seeing police officers looking down at thier laser guns wondering why a signal wasn't returned . . .

Anyway, I should keep my mouth shut and my fingers crossed. Good luck with the insurance.

That's good to hear - thanks for the feedback. I was getting a bit worried after reading the GOL tests (after I had paid for the unit)... I'll have to wait and see what kind of luck I have. I was thinking about trying to mount the radar unit inside the cabin, up near the headliner, for better reception. Also thinking of putting the rear shifter on the front of the car, since most LEOs will hit the front of the car. We'll see...

I agree with the effectiveness. I use the best of both worlds, a V1 and a ZR3. That gives me the advantages of directional info from the V1 and the excellent laser jambing of the Escort system.
