From November 2-4, my wife and I are going on vacation in Southern Vermont. We'll be staying in Manchester at the Equinox.

Anyone stayed at the Equinox before? How is it? Any suggestions?

Any good restaurant recommendations in Southern Vermont?

Anyone have any good suggestions for twisty road drives in Southern/Central Vermont?

 

No one knows anything about Southern Vermont and going on vacation there?

You're going to see the leaves change?? =) Sounds fun and romantic. Enjoy Scott! And vermont roads always has twisties man! ( I think). LOL

 

We are going about 3-4 weeks too late for good fall foliage. That's at the very beginning of October and the last week in Sept. We are just going to chill. This is a very off peak time and we got a steal of a price at the Equinox. Yes there are some twisties as I discovered on motorcycleroads.us. Unfortunately, several of the better twisty roads in Vt (according to the site) are closed as of the first of November because they are up big mountains that get filled with snow by late fall. But there appears to be a very promising twisty road between Bennington and Brattleboro Unfortunately, I can go too aggressive on the twisties because I am running on the dedicated snows. My Dunlop Wintersport M3s have excellent dry weather performance but no dedicated snow can approach the dry weather grip of a summer performance tire such as my Hankooks.

 

I always remember Vermont 100 being a killer drive. Not sure if you'll be crossing paths with it or not...

 

Yes I am sure that we'll take a ride on it. I've taken it through Central Vt but not southern Vt.

 

Route 100 runs like a spine from south to north through the center of Vermont. It links all of the ski mountains in Vermont. It is just east of Manchester. I've never stayed at the Equinox, but it certainly looks appealing from the outside. Manchester has loads of shopping and is near Stratton and Magic Mountain.
