It's the filipino in me But seriously, some collect baseball cards or stamps, I collect sneakers. My first job back in high school was at FootAction. I used most of my checks to buy shoes back then. Man I've been a sneaker head for a while looking back at it now I don't buy as much now, luckily I've got a family member that's works for the big swoosh corp and i am a sample size . May not come in shoe boxes, but it's free and new and no box means no stress about actually wearing them.

I've been tempted to dump some shoes for some mods, but just bring myself to do it

I hear ya about collecting stuff, but never figured people collected sneakers! Do they appreciate in value and is there a market for trading them?

Absolutely. They have limited color ways, featured artists/designers, limited # of releases, city/regional specific releases. Retro/re-released shoes vs. original shoes. Time specific designs (olympic, halloween, NBA all-star weekend, etc...) Run through ebay and you'll see....

have a look at some of the stuff you can find..

FCLA has a tons of sneakers i just hate their prices lol

i never thought to seal my boxes cuz i wear most of my shoes, but thats not a bad idea for shoes with clear soles like the V VI XI etc. and i also sometimes want to sell some of my shoes for bmw mods but I love me sneakers too much thats one of my favorite hobbies and passion.

And like other sneaker heads we do appreciate the design colors and history of the sneakers. like remembering the shoes Jordan took his last shot (Bulls Era) and so many other stroies.... Collecting Sneakers is just like any other Hobby or Collection... I know some ppl do trip out though its always nice to see their look on their faces, you guys know what im talking about
