On an Autobahn coming back from Easter lunch with the in-laws, came upon some roadworks where we were restricted (by cones) to one lane and 50mph. As I'm almost obeying the limit this F10 comes right up behind me tailgating like a dick. As we get towards the end of the restriction I can see his car body language twitching as he wants to overtake me. Once at the end he moved into the left overtaking lane obviously angry at me for only driving at a constant 90km/h in the roadworks where the limit was 80km/h. That's when I planted my right foot to the floor (after having already pre-selected 3rd gear in manual mode) and showed him what a V8 E60 can do. He was getting smaller and smaller in my rear view mirror and by the time I hit 160mph I could see he'd already moved back into the right lane and accepted he wasn't keeping up The only F10 that could have kept up would be the 550i and they're rarer than rocking horse shit in Germany (even the E60 ones).

It would be funny if the guy was a forum member, who recognized your car and just wanted to show you his new ride

It would be funny if you dropped your wallet somewhere and he was trying to return it.

Truthfullly, E60 545 v. any F10 other than F10 550 = kill for the 545.

The F10 is probably not broken in yet, that could be the other reason why he eased off.

Sounds like a memorable Easter Sunday lunch ride for the in-laws...
