I think there's no problem going back to 1.5, but check to be sure.
It updated my Slingbox to 1.2.7, but it had been a long time since I updated.
FYI, the setup util seems to be trying to do more, but if you're familiar with the old way it seems a little overdone.
Also, after the update my Slingbox changed IPs from .2 to .254. You might need to tweak settings after the fact.

Yeah, the other odd thing... the new player won't let you add a box unless you're on the local segment - it won't continue the setup until it can find it in that manner. You can't just specify the socket. After it's all added you can, but not prior.
