Why doesn't bmw take part in dtm? I mean they have the knowledge, they have the power and histroy to do it (well more than opel i think) so why not? Even more that the new m3 comes out with the new v8!
Anyone knows?

I believe the e46 m3 gtr competes in the ALMS series. In the past, the e36 GTR may have competed in DTM, but there was something about sanctions which limited the GTR or made it uncompetitive. Just off the top of my head, I'm sure there is more to the story.

Yeah the M3 GTR competed in LMs type races but i'd like to know more about the reason bmw isn't in the DTM.
