According to their website they're only a 50 minute train journey from central London. A lot of places within central London are that far away (in time) anyway so I figured it was worth a mention.

I can't wait for someone to punch Gordon Ramsay right in his smug face. There's some Fox News (or maybe Jerry Springer?) for ya. I wouldn't give that asshole a dime of my money. If nothing more, just for having a ridiculous reality television show in the first place. I guess it is good for having trend followers patronize his businesses so they can impress their friends and frenemies over the latest Red Bull and Belvedere recipe.

"Like OMG, like you ate at Gordon Ramsay's?"
"Yeah"
"No way"
"Way"
"Did you hear that, sweatheart? They are so much better than us. Let's go have a couple more Raging Bulls and watch an episode of "16 and Pregnant" so we can feel superior again."

I couldn't agree more that he acts like a complete ass on his show. For me, I love a great meal and precious few places earn 3 Michelin stars. Ramsay has a bunch of cheaper restaurants in London where one can eat and tell folks that they ate at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant (indeed, he's got restaurants right here in New York City). But Gordon Ramsay Restaurant is the one with the serious foodie accolades.

Like I said, I hope that the quality of the food matches Ramsay's and that particular restaurant's reputation.

Give Cinnamon Club a try if you can

http://www.cinnamonclub.com/ - IMO the best Indian in London.

Also http://www.veeraswamy.com/ - the first Indian in the UK or London and from the same
Owners as Amaya.

Speaking of Cinnamon Club, you should give Cinnabon a try. Probably one at Heathrow or Gatwick just past immigration/customs. It will save you a shitload if time and money.
