Rolling on 20" rims in New York?

So I've been in Westchester County for the past week on a business trip. Immediately I noticed how horrible the roads are up here 
, even in White Plains NY. So for those folks running 20"s around town, how do you manage? 
Do you usually run 245/35/20 fronts and 285/30/20 rears? to provide a little more protection?

Westchester and White plains Roads are like heaven compared to the City, try driving in the city and see how it is. But you manage and sometimes swerve around things. But its managable. I'm running 245/35/20 & 275/30/20 with no problems.
