That's cool, I don't know what the shop owners generosity had to do with being Muslim, but hey it works. If he kept one thug from robbing someone else he's done his part. Regardless of his religion the shop owner seems like just a cool guy.

Its definitely touching. Let's hope the robber was sincere in his denouncement of crime.

It should have been a denouncement of idiocy, those stores never have that much cash laying around so the guys that rob them are risking jail and their lives for what? $80 - stupid

I just saw on the news last night: on Long Island a jewelry store owner took a bullet in the chest during a failed robbery and kept shooting back at the robbers. The guy came in to work the next day too after getting shot in the chest

Agreed Vlad, but desperate or not I'll take a good days work over robbing someone else just trying to make a living. There really is no excuse, sorry.

Well, all the above is obviously in addition to all the obvious moral and legal implications - I would like to think I'm not a caveman and have a pretty clear understanding of both.

I'm not excusing him - I am completely impartial, except, I hope that this good deed did not pass in vain (or whatever that saying is) - basically, I hope that the store owner's generosity and compassion is not wasted and does help the guy change his life.
I can definitely agree with that - as I said before if he kept one thug from robbing someone else he did his part.
