My all time favorite song still has to be Stairway To Heaven. The beauty of the opening melody, the haunting words, and the hard rock finish make it a classic. These days I'm really into Coldplay. Their live CD/DVD is the best. Clocks is probably in my top 10 all time. Other songs I really like range from Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve) to Low Spark of High Heeled Boys (Traffic with Steve Winwood).
Obviously classic rock is it for me. My iPod has 1600 songs, I ranked 32 as 5 out of 5, with no one group having more than 2.

A while back, I did this pie chart of my iPod tunes showing songs by artist. It really shows my favorite groups, mostly classic rock but some new.
I may have added a few 100 more songs but no major groups other than U2 not on the list.
