you know whats sad? the fact tiger continued a relationship with a reality star, waitress. Tiger is a fool....one would think his net worth is over a billion. He is the biggest and highest paid sports figure in america and maybe the world. Why settle for a 7? If you are going to put your marriage in jeopardy do it with someone worth a damn rather than this waitress who served you a couple beers and her 15 mins of fame are reality tv.

Can't argue with the last part, but when did he profess to be "holier than thou".?
cheating on your wife (and kids) with multiple women, over an extended period of time, shows he has no regard for anyone but himself...just my opinion.

Somehow, the fact that he was abused by his wife still doesn't register with anyone. I'd like to see what the outcome would have been had he been the one doing the smashing after finding out his wife was cheating.....

Another thought I have is that if a man or woman finds it necessary to cheat, it only means that his/her spouse was lacking something or not holding up his/her part of the vows. I'm just saying.......

I know. if you are gonna cheat make sure it is worthwhile!

I have never cheated on anyone but I have been cheated on and it is a pretty aweful experience. He sucks and should be ashamed of himself. he is a "role model" and an american icon. This is kind of like the micheal phelps smoking pot thing IMO, only difference tiger hurt more people then just himself. Maybe his wife will pull a hillary and stay with him.

True. She should not have struck him and she deserves whatever punishment comes with that. It's up to him to press charges.

As to the other party lacking something as the cause is utter and complete bullshit. You take wedding vows for a reason. If you are unhappy, then discuss it with your spouse, and if it can not be resolved, then divorce. There never is an excuse for adultery. Period.

I agree, there is never an excuse for adultery. Let me go on record saying that I have been happily married for 31 years and have never, ever cheated on my wife. My wife also has never cheated on me, trust me, we would both know. Anyway, we have done the talk thing and things have always gone back on track quickly. People who meet us think we've only been married a few years; this is how fresh we keep it.

Having said that, it takes an enormous amount of work to make the other person feel needed and wanted. There are a lot of give and takes on both sides, and if one party only takes and never gives, I can understand how the other side would go outside of the wedding for emotional support. I would never judge other couples for cheating. I don't know their circumstances and therefore I would abstain from judging them, but cheating seems to be a widespread practice and therefore I take it as a sign of being human, as wrong as it is. This should be a matter between the husband and the wife and nobody else's business. As far as divorce is concerned, I think divorce is more of a threat to the sanctity of marriage than cheating or same-sex marriages. Maybe divorce is one reason that so many people cheat figuring that if they get caught they can always get divorced. I'd say, let's ban divorce for non-abusive marriages and maybe people will do a better job of picking their partners since they know that they would be stuck with them for life.
