You might be able to get away with sport , but for non-sport, that is a MUST!!!

Hey J - sell them back to you for +30%

Thanks for the opinions, so far.
Unless I decided to start putting the car on a track or autocross events, the handling is mostly sufficient. My main concern is aesthetics.
Rear gap as is...or less gap? There isn't as big a gap in the front, as in the rear so... can I lower only the rear about an 1 - 1.5 inches? Springs/shocks?
I should have a set of these rims soon myself. They look really nice on your car mate, those rogue 12mm spacers ?? is that for the rears only and does it make a big difference ?. If i order some 12mm spacers can i use the original bolts.
The spacers are for the rear and push the wheels out to just inside the fender (I had concerns about the wheels sticking out past the fenders, they do not). The 245 front tires fill out perfectly, no need for spacers and you WILL need longer bolts to accomodate the extra width.

Looks nice!! Before I dropped it, I'd be sure to investigate any/all changes in the driving characteristics and if those changes are worth the "look". These cars handle GREAT in stock sport trim and I be a bit hesitant to mess with the already excellent ride quality. Do you know anyone close who has dropped theirs that you can ride with for a bit? Worse part of modding a vehicle is only focusing on the upside of the mod then realizing the downside AFTER it's been modded Believe me, I know this from personal experience

Lower it. It's a must. But don't just do springs. Do the whole package, so you don't get the bouncy feel from just doing springs.

I don't plan on doing anything right away and will deliberately wait until after our big E60 Meet in March (see signature below). I'll probably be able to hitch a ride in a few dropped rides there and make a decision on which set-up to go with. You're right! I don't wanna screw with the ride quality too much.

You can ride in my car. My car is non-sport. At the meet, you can try KW and Bilstein and see what you like.

My car is bouncy with the coils b/c its sit close to the ground and absorbs all the road bumps. But besides that, taking turns is FUN

Thanks for the offer AW - I don't know enough about coil-overs yet, but will get educated and buy the right set-up.

This is the same route i am going to take. I want to go and get just the springs but i know this is not the best thing to do so i will watch this space very carefully.

I love this forum.
