I've been wanting to get the 27'' iMac for some time. I got a promotion this week so thought what the hell, I'll finally buy it. I should have bought this thing sooner, this screen is soooo nice.
I have to sell 2 or 3 screens now to make room for it. My old screens were Dell Ultrasharps and look like crap in comparison.

I've been going back and forth on that - the 3.2 i3 is plenty quick in itself. The 32-bit and 64-bit Geekbench results for the 2010 iMacs are coming in significantly higher than the prior models.

I was actually going to get the core2duo refurb for 1269. But I decided I'd just spend the extra cash to have the newest processor. To me, I really didn't need the extra difference between i3-i5. Mostly just using it for browsing, messages, audio production. I have a core 2 duo still in my main pc and never have any speed issues so i3 was going to be fine. This screen is seriously amazing, easily the best screeen I've ever used, especially the size!
