Both my two girls 9 & 4 yrs know exactly what car we are driving, and are also keen on spotting other BMW's when we are out.

I just have to keep reminding them how fortunate they are... to experience such a sublime handling car, with bags of power to spare...

My son who is 7...oh wait, I mean 7 1/2...and I take a lot of bike rides together. One of the paths we take is along the Cross Island Pkwy and for those of you who know, nice water on one side and the pkwy on the other...Its about a 2.5 mile path in each direction. My son challenges me to see who can spot the most BMWs, Mercedes and sometimes Audis... BTW, we definitely have more BMW than Mercedes on the road and more Mercedes than Audis...Its actually a great car census day...LOL

So, I think he prefers German cars and Latin women at this point...Or is that me??? hhhmmmmmmm

When my oldest was about 5 we traded in our X5 for a minivan because our third child was on the way and after 2 minutes in the mini-van he said "I like the old car better." To this day he wants to ride in my car over the minivan. In fact, even my 2 1/2 year old likes the E60 more than the van.

10 more years until my 6 yo. daughter gets her car. I was thinking something along the lines of a Z4 or whatever its replacement will be by then ... for now she's set on getting Mom's Audi A4 Avant I'm still working on changing her mind
