I have a Glock 17 Pro, but it's Austrian. Does that count?

Just wondered if your Teutonic fascination extends into other products?

For me, they include: Leica and Rollei cameras, Volkl skis (and rackets), BMW motorcycles, ADS (aka Braun) stereo, and IWC, the most-German Swiss watchmaker.

I'm sure there are other incidentals but was interested in how you purchase in the global market?

Cheers,

LOL/touche, Vnod.

If you study my Avatar, you'll see my Newfie in the center (or at least his pink tongue). I'm sure he'd enjoy meeting your short-legged pals.

I do see his tongue, and the pic you posted is pretty funny.

But, now back to our regularly scheduled program. I have a Braun shaver, but that's all I can think of, and I doubt it was made in Germany. I feel like a traitor. Wait, how about a Glock 40 Cal.? Glocks are made in Germany, right?

We sat at a dinner table next to two young female school teachers from Bavaria in Levanto, Italy last summer. They were from Bavaria and were incredibly nice, intelligent, knowledgeable, and articulate in English. They helped us map out our next trip. Starting in western France, through the French and Bavarian Alps, and farther into Bavaria. They totally sold us on visiting Bavaria and on the people of Bavaria. We probably will go this summer or at least very soon. Does that count as Bavarian infatuation?

Oh, that's right, I mentioned my Glock 40 cal., but that doesn't count. To make amends, I'll mention the 1972 primo VW convertible that I sold two years ago. I had owned it since 1978. 1972 was, I think, was the last year the Super Beetles/Convertibles were made in Germany.

Interesting topic. Well, I'm a kind of BMW maniac, owned a long series of BMW motorbikes. The last one is a R 1200 RT, in addition to a BMW C1 roofed scooter, two KTM (Austrian) mountain bikes, several Siemens cellular and Dect phones, a host of BMW apparel (gloves, jackets, trousers, casual garments, baseball hats, T-shirts and so on). And my wife's Freelander is powered by a BMW common rail turbo diesel.
