My beloved 535i is 3 years old with 71000 miles and a recurring Engine Malfunction Reduced power warning. I'm so sick of paying through my nose for this because the effing warranty always has some excuse of not covering things And ofcourse the dealer overcharges me.

So I've decided to let go of my baby and am contemplating between the BMW M3 coupe vs Audi S5 vs BMW 550i (F10).

Is the M3 really a lot of fun? I probably will miss the HUD but I guess you can get an aftermarket HUD.

Sorry to hear that uve had so many issue unresolved thru warranty, ive never been denied a claim for anything during the warranty coverage period so its unfortunate u've had problems unresolved as coverage should allow for.

E92 M3 is nice but small coming from your 5er if you haul more than a single passenger at a time...HUD will certainly be missed, dont know why bmw didnt include on the M!
S5 is nice but smaller than your car again, and the F10 550 is an open question based on lots of reading and its ground weight...tuff choice, but if u need room for 4, well perhaps the e90 M3 makes more sense...the engine is sublime!

You will miss the low end torque from the 535i for sure, you need to rev the M3 pretty high to unleash the power.

I think you wil really like it, forget the damn Audi
I would wait for them to work out the problems with the F10...

Hey Krozi,

Is the M3 a whole lot more fun than the 545 you had before?

Oh so much more fun, you rev that thing up past 5k and the power is insane....I am so suprised that I still haven't gotten a ticket...you catch yourself speeding
so easliy hahah...the V1 is a good investment for sure'

Plus, the 545i was an auto, I got 6spd in the ///M, nothing like driving around time heal-toe-ing, rev matching, and chirping, and powershifting onto 2nd to get the car sideways haha
And that engine note, DAMN! so addictive, then engine sounds incredible, espcially past 5k rpm. The car is a lot more noisy though...driving slow is somewhat clunky, but that's how it's always been with M3's, more so in the E46 M3. But the E92 M3 is the best all around car I know, refined, fast, handles like a dream, agressive, technology, a great V8 engine, the list goes on for hours. Man BMW should give me some money for adverstising their car so much

You'll love it

If you don't need the extra room, go M3. Ever hear of a M3 owner who didn't like their car?
