Well I just discovered this site. I'm always making sites on the side to generate side income. And I ran across this idea, I can't believe I never thought of doing this. I could be rolling in a enzo right now.
The site is www.swoopo.com
Heres how it works.
"Every day we sell brand new top-name products at incredibly low prices in auctions that start at just 15c with no reserve. Take a look at the items we're currently auctioning, and if one takes your fancy, why not buy some bids? They're only $0.75 each.
With each bid placed, the price of the item increases by 15c. When you bid, we also reset the counter back up to a maximum of 20 seconds - to give someone else the chance to bid too if they're interested."
So if you are the last person at the end of the auction and no one "bids" after you, you can buy the item for that price. Stuff usually goes for cheap. One of the auctions had a macbook sell for $280. If my calculations were correct swoopo made $18,000 just off bid fees on that auction ALONE!
Its absolutley crazy stuff. One of the auctions was from swoopo giving away 300 free bids. And there was well over 6000 bids for it.

I think they are actually because we saw a $1000 itunes gift card sell for $900 with $1000 in bids from one person.
