I've switched back and forth a couple of times between Verizon and ATT (and their predecessors like Airtouch, Pac Tel, Cingular) the last 10 years or so. I went back to Verizon because of the poor reception of Cingular back in 2001, but by 2005 I was getting sick of the poor Verizon reception at my work, not to mention the "antiques" they had for phones and how they "limited" the features that were available on the phones. When I was getting my E60 Verizon didn't even have a bluetooth phone and that's all I needed to make me switch back to Cingular. I immediately notice a much better coverage since the last time I had had Cingular. I have never had better reception at my work and the places that I use my phone most than I do now, and it became better when Cingular acquired ATT a few years ago. I also prefer the better (more up to date / modern) gsm phones that can be used with ATT. If I travel to other countries I just get a SIM card from a local phone co and pop it in the phone instead of paying the expensive per minute charges that Verizon (or even ATT) charge when you use your US account overseas. Also, all incoming calls end up being free as in most countries the local cell companies don't charge for incoming calls.
I don't have reception at my house with any of the phone companies right now, and that includes Verizon. They are supposed to be putting a T-Mobile cell site up soon in the area, which means my ATT phone "should" be able to use it, but a Verizon phone wont.
So even though Verizon may have better coverage overall and may be better in certain areas when traveling, the places where I use my phone 95% of the time I get better coverage from ATT...........so no going back to Verizon for me, thank you very much.

i use the Curve with TMO. love the fact that you can make calls via UMA (WiFi) through my internet connection here at home. comes in handy since my signal is quite spotty.

BOOOOOO.... Can we talk about something other than cell phones? Yes, I'm upset about the crappy combo of the iPhone and AT&T. How about I'm gonna smoke ya all at K1 in two week?
