So.. I graduated from OSU back in 03. We had a sub-.500 football program for 37 years STRAIGHT when I entered as a freshman. By sophomore year we were the BLOWOUT winner in the Fiesta Bowl against some team called Notre Dame?
and finished the season ranked #3. My junior year we were picked by SI to be the #1 team in the nation pre-season. Since then it's been above .500 ever since. If our victory back in 2006 wasn't beautiful enough, last night did it for me. I HATE USC PASSIONATELY. I LOVE to see them lose. It's just beautiful. Watching Pete look as if he's passing a stone on the sideline for 2.5 hours on national television makes my day. Just shows that your number one ranking means jack SH!T. Unfortunatley for the pac 10 though this means we probably won't have a championship team. Oh well - My beavs played amazing and shocked the nation again. My question is this - if we keep having huge upsets, should it still be a shocker? USC in 06, #2 ranked Cal last year (I attended down at Berkley) and #1 USC again this year. LOVING IT!

What would be nice, if they could turn this win into something special down the road. Like fighting for a championship in the future. But it won't happen. Like 2006 it is just an upset win.
Great win, but really meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
OSU will remain a mid-level Pac-10 team. Ducks are the real Oregon football team.

Ha. The ducks!??! My fiance is a duck. Seriously though - Who beat the Ducks last year in the civil war IN Autzen Stadium? Beavs. I think the pac-10 will be weak this year, and with USC going down, we should finish in the top third pretty easily.

That was definitely a nice upset win. A close second was my Michigan Wolverines coming back from 19 down to take out Wisconsin. Absolutely the most frustrating game to watch in the 1st half, but it ended up to be a great one.
