For those of you in New Jersey ... has anyone heard of this insurance company called "NJ Skylands Insurance"? I'm looking for any feedback about them.

I've been looking around for a new insurance company and have gotten a good very good quote from them, along with Progressive, but I don't want to short change myself and have problems if God-forbid something does happen.

I never heard about "NJ Skylands Insurance" Did you try ALLSTATE Insurance? I heard they give good quotes.

From what I have found, the NJ Skylands is a non-profit, like a credit-union where the policy holders share the risk. They were formed by One Beacon Insurance Group (a subsidiary of White Mountain Insurance Group- Ticker Symbol: WTM ).

Here's the '03 and '04 complaints ratios published by the NJ Dept of banking and Insurance. Just about "ok" in my opinion.

Hope this helps. Maybe someone who is an actual member can provide more info.

I looked up those ratios but couldnt find much else. Hrmph....

i have liberty mutual for years and they gave me very good rates especially if you have multiple policies with them. give them a call .
