hey guys. so I have my M6 as my weekend/fun car but i am now in need for a new DD driving getting to work everyday, letting it sit outside my office everyday, etc. Nothing too crazy, and was looking around and was looking at used g35's and 350z's. which would you guys prefer? and any other recommendations for DD?

how about a 135 or 335?

Drop a JB3 in it and some bolt on parts (FMIC, DP's, etc...) and have some fun

If I were going into the Infinity, I think I would want to look for a used G37 coupe...but then I've never driven the G35. The differences may not be that great for the type of driving you would be doing. A 350Z would be a hoot, but not nearly as comfortable... Depends on your priorities in that respect.

its pretty much going to be my car to get me from point A to point B. which is pretty much from home to work and anywhere else on the way like errands, gym, etc on the daily. My current DD pretty much broke down so for the past month ive used my m6 everyday and i really hate seeing it just sit there outside my office (i get to work at like 5am and leave anywhere from 8-9pm).

Reason i mentioned I was looking at 350z and g35 is because i do like the sporty type as well as I am young and dont have a family so i do not need to worry about carrying passengers or anything. I would definitely consider the g37 or used 3 series, but the prices on them are still up there. as for an 06ish 350z or g35 with low miles, been seeing some run less than $14k, which is pretty impressive.

thanks for the responses guys.!! keep it coming as well as any more recommendations for DD's.

Why not use the M6 - it makes a fine daily driver. If I were you, I'd use what I have. I use my 997 as my daily driver, and I wouldn't have it any other way. In fact, the car that I bought to be my DD after I got the Porsche I hardly use...

i do use my M6. i use it alot actually. heres the thing. its about 75 miles to my office and back a day. get in the office about 5-6am. leave anywhere from 8-9pm maybe sometimes later. car is just parked outside in the parking lot all morning and day without it even moving. id rather let a different car sit out there and then just switch cars afterwards.

Fair point - my commute is less than 10 miles each way and I have underground parking at my office. Just seems a shame for you not to get to enjoy the beast every day!
