So , just wondering, what instruments do you guys play?

I'm a keyboard/piano man myself. Never had any lessons, self taught, but I think I do ok! Just ordered myself one of these - http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe...03PE/index.html - we're having the garage turned in to a spare room / music room, so thought it was time to update my 10 year old Clavinova!

None at all.....I was messing around in line when they were handing out the musical talent.....but I can store vast amounts of useless info in my head.

Nice keyboard! I used to have a Roland D-70 synth back in the day. I grew up around a baby grand piano, so I guess you can say I know the difference between the blacks and whites. I'm more accurately a guitarist (formally trained) than a pianist. As such, I can also play bass guitar. I also self taught myself drums. I played in a few bands as a guitarist and occasionally as a drummer. I miss it...

I always wanted to play guitar but despite a lot of effort could not get past a few basic chords. My 10 year old son on the other hand has lessons at school and is getting really good. Other son is getting a violin for christmas, and also a bass guitar. So I thought it was about time we got a proper space set up for them to enjoy! I'm still working out whether a drum kit will fit in the room or whether that's taking it a little far

Hello Russ, I'm a piano man too.. used to attend lesson for a few years when child, my parents had a beautiful Petrof, then at the age of 10 I got a computer and my hobbies turned 180 However I really wish to come back to playing again. Hoping to find a good (can be used) classical piano and transport it home but looking at your new instrument makes me want one too I also played a flute at school, neat instrument but a bit boring for me.
My biggest weak point is not having enough patience so I never really mastered piano.. perhaps one day

Don't forget the mics, and a good PC running Ubuntu Studio:

Actually, I just decided my daughter needs a set of these for Christmas:

Good price, and they give you an extra drum pad.

Currently: none.

But in the past I've been trying the bass guitar, and played drums for a couple years. And for (too) many years I've played this.
