And when I say Merry Christmas, I mean exactly that! Not Happy Holidays! Can't be doing with all this politically correct rubbish!

And here's a shot I took in Germany earlier in the week - they still do things the proper way there!

Hope you had a nice holiday! might be rubbish in your country...but here in the US we wish all that celebrate a holiday during this season A HAPPY HOLIDAY. Here in the US I and hopefully many others say "That was not very cool"
Thanks for being honest and showing no respect to the "others" E60 members!!!

well ultimately Christmas IS in fact Christ's birthday, but unfortunately it has become nothing more then a consumerism gongshow that is fuelled by too much booze and too many kids get the wrong message that it is all about presents and partying. It should be about sharing and family and kindness and togetherness.
Anyhow Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone

I don't think he showed disrespect to anyone.

As Rudy stated "Not out of disrespect for other faiths, but this is the year that I, too, am blowing off the PC crap and telling people Merry Christmas -- if they celebrate something else, they're free to let me know and I'll be sure and wish them a happy whatever they celebrate..."

So Happy Holidays to you. And to those that do, in fact, celebrate the historical birth of Jesus Christ, Merry Christmas.

Thanks Rudy, I completely understand the importance of this holiday and respect it very much as many of my close friends and family members celebrate Christmas. I am not arguing this case at all...I actually agree. I was more insulted by the way the subject was presented here using the word "rubbish". There are obviously many members from all over the world who celebrate other holidays around this time of the year...Common courtesy should have been Merry Christmas and happy holiday to the rest. I do respect and admire every religion and every holiday...however, I respect all people...
I have enjoyed spending time on this forum and find most people here to be very courteous and very helpful.
The reason we are here is our shared interest and it's a shame that people make inappropriate comments (intentionally or not) about sensitive subjects.
Rudy and hoopsrob, thanks for clarifying this subject. Hope my comment clarified my point of view
